i saw luther at wembley in 1993 about the time this album was released. i have not been to a concert like that ever. the crowds reaction to him was unbelievable. the support artist was dina carrol and she was dancing in the aisles with all the rest of us!! good album this. the highlight of which has to be the cover of the bee gees song - how deep is your love, which goes to prove that mr vandross was capable of singing just about anything he wanted to. sorely missed, so you will just have to buy his music instead.

The album has an amzing blend of rhythm and is extremly well put together! Yeah it certainly has the edge and will make u want to listen to it more and more and will have you singing your heart out. 'Yeah' - with Ludacris, still undoubtedly the number 1 choon on the album. And if you buy the special edition copy u even get the amazing duet with Alicia Keys. A must have for any music lover.

This collection of remixes by Jennifer Lopez has one or two outstanding tracks on it but overall most of the tracks are not as good as the originals.I liked the remix of Let's Get Loud which I hadn't heard before.
If you haven't listened to Lopez before then I would recommend her cd On The Six which has more mainstream songs on it including the number 1 billboard hit Waiting For Tonight.Also some very strong language on J that Lo.

Just when it seemed like Janet's musical career was never going to take off, out popped `Control' a crucial success, as well as signalling Janet's new found independence. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were recruited to produce this album, and blimey did they do a good job.

The title track `Control' is upbeat, as well as lyrically explaining to us all that she is now free from all restraints, and by the sounds of it she loving every second, this is even more evident when you listen to `Nasty' it's a rebellious song with plenty of sexual references thrown in, then there's one of my personal favourites `When I Think Of You', not quite as upbeat, certainly not as explicit as some of the material on here, i can understand why this bouncy ... I was never a fan of the Spice Girls, but there was always something about this girl that drew me in. She's fierce, fiery and she's got lots of attitude and spunk. Her role in the Spice Girls was obviously stylized, but that doesn't really matter, since it obviously worked. "Hot", her first solo album is not as great as its lead single "I Want You Back", which is a delicious slice of mystic r'n'b. Missy E. wrote the song for Melanie, and it suits her so perfectly, so I can't help but feel somewhat disappointed by the rest of the album. Melanie is a decent singer along the lines of Grace Jones and Janet Jackson, and she's certainly got the fire and drive of Grace Jones, but her music lacks the same rhythmic glory.
