Wow.This really does sum up the phenominal career of these disco veterans. Featuring disco belters such as Lets Groove, September, Boogie Wonderland and Fall in Love With Me, how can you resist getting up and getting your boogie on.Also featuring the more low care affairs of After the Love Has Gone and You Can't Hide Love, why wouldn't you feel the need to own this bevvy of classics.Topdraw.

Like the last reviewer, and many, many others, The Blues Brothers was a film I first watched when I was about 10 and it introduced me to a whole new world of music.
This soundtrack was the first record I ever owned and it is where I first heard a lot of artists that I may otherwise never of heard of, since I had only really listened to pop and ska before.
This is a great collection and younger people especially will find it it very educational. If you enjoy the soundtrack it would also be a good idea to look up some of the other artists featured in the film but not on the soundtrack, like Sam and Dave and John Lee Hooker.
A fun film and a fun soundtrack, try the other Blues Brothers recordings too, you ... Read More:
This is one of my favourite CD's from the early nineties.
There's a tenderness and maturity to the songs here which hasn't dated one bit.
Everyone I know who loves this album has a different track as their favourite and the superb production bringing out all the emotion in Annie's singing.
The songs are sung with a heartfelt honesty that's still refreshing to hear, with almost none of the "pop production" that could spoil some of the Eurithmics recordings. "Money can't Buy It" and "Little Bird" are audio dem-room classics too.
At the prices here, I'd sincerely recommend you give this a try - it deserves to be in every CD collection.

This album blew my mind when I first heard it 15 years or so ago. From the first to the last this album reaches the pinnacles that other artists just cannot. To think that it is over 30 years old to me it sounds fresher and more vital than most of the bland R&B that is being offered up today. Also it's political message still blows me away.
This album is so good that everyone should own it. Infact if you know someone who doesn't get them a copy. It would count as a genuine act of kindness on your part.

I bought this Album towards the end of last year. The amount I've played it, you'd think I should be done with it. I'm not. Instead I find myself constantly fishing it out to listen to at home, in the car, to my friends. Everytime its on in company, someone inevitably asks me who it is. Northern Girls is a great track, but I'm happy to let the CD just play, and (almost) never feel the urge to skip forward. If you like Ben Westbeech, Little Dragon, Erykah Badu, Lamb, this is a definite must. Don't be put of if you have never heard them before, the album is instantly likeable -but not unintelligent.
Six months after buying unearthing this treasure, I'm still finding it difficult to to top it despite my insatiable music habit. Basically, put it ... Read More:

i have decide to write a review that some think may cause offense but there is muppets out there (someone with a head up there ass!!!!!!! and moving there hands).
As like most people think if they hear/see a review like a well known band they a going to be like that band.
In many cases evanescence is like within temptation /lacuna coil /after forever /paramore and others just to name a few the only things these bands have in common is 2 things

I'm not a big fan of Blackeyed Peas but I do like most song's of there's. I first heard Will.i.am's Solo music when I heard "Heartbreaker" I think this song is a great song, I love it...
If you liked the Blackeyed Peas or even Fergies Album's then, you should get this for a listen! it's really catchy...

Very dissapointed. After buying other titles in this range - which overall I have been very pleased with - this one I feel is a let down. Yes, there are some great Disco tracks on CD1 excellent in fact, but then CD2 has only a few with the rest being `fillers'. CD3 tedious and boring. I certainly would not play it at a party. CD4 is worse than CD3! CD5 comes back with a few good tracks but also more filling dross. It ends with Love Train, a great dance track. There were so many Disco greats missing; where were the Bee Gees, Abba, Dexies Midnight Runners, even? The truely good tracks would just about fill two CDs. Having said that, it cost less than £7.00.
