Ok, like most people I loved "It wasn't me" so when I went on a school trip I had some spending money and picked up this album to listen to on the coach home, It was brilliant and catchy listened to it for a few week and put it away. I recently rediscovered this and I have to say it is the best album I have ever heard, its got the up beat songs and the slower songs. But best of all it is the CD for players! If you are about to go out on a date and your nervous put this CD on it will make you feel invinsible. I cannot reccomend it enough! Buy it now!

I swear you will not find a better summery album anywhere. Put this mix of punk and ska on and you can feel the sun shining even in the middle of winter.
Please don't be put off by the fact that the band are called Rancid, even if you are not into 'punk' this album is amazing musically (especially the bass playing).
This album has to be one of the best i've ever heard, so do yourself a favour and buy it.

Dreadzone Live at Sunrise

This is very poor. A pub band who would be great if you'd had a few jars and maybe dropped a pill. The audience were having a great night out, but as a a piece of music,take my advice and spend your money on something that sounds good on your hi-fi straight, not lashed in the boozer.

I agree with the other reviews this is a fine album. In fact it must be one of the best live reggae albums available.Comparable to the great Misty In Roots- Live at Countervision album.
It may be a bit raw in its sound but this just adds to capturing the marvellous carnival atmosphere. This marks a happy time when roots rockers ruled reggae before its sad decline into ragga /drum'n'bass and (a little sadly)Aswad hit the charts with some soft reggae pop tunes that didn't really represent the sound they perfected after many years slogging on the road in the late seventies/early eighties.Bands simply do not get this good without doing the rounds live for many years!Aswad deserved there success so I would not dis them for 'selling out' as some roots ... What can yousay, this man is pure legend, he help Bob Marley to produce his first record and made his own first when just 14.

I saw most of these at Glastonbury 2003 and, I think most who were there will agree, was totally awe struck something noone has ever managed to do.

I expect anyone who reckons they are into Reggae to buy any one of his albums, this is a good one though.

The Best of Ub40 Vol.1

What I hate the most is people's attitude's towards UB40. People who think they aren't a "proper" reggae band just because they aren't Jamaican! Well, any listens to this shows they can play it proficiently and give it their own identity, not least due to the distinctive harmonies of Ali and Robin Campbell. From the anti-Thatcher early stuff to the more commercial but melodic pop-reggae they play now, they never get boring or samey, although the cover of "I Got You Babe" is the only damp squib.
