This album has some wonderful moments - it is what you'd expect and more from David and his crew. Aldrich does a wonderful job on guitars and I really do not understand what some of the more negative people were expecting. This is a Whitesnake album in every sense of the word, without too much influence from the comtemporary rock scene (and better for it). More albums please Mr. Coverdale...

In my opinion, yet another hype band. Sound like too many other bands but not as good in my opinion. Bands mentioned in other reviews such as Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, Bloc Party are all much better.

Having heard of editors but not knowing much about them i embarked upon eurockeennes de belfort festival 2007, midday on the second day and on came Editors, the set started well and i was instantly impressed with the quality of the live performances, as the set continued i felt being drawn into their sound and by the end i was impressed enough to order this album as soon as i got home. Also, another thing that impressed me was the fact that the lead singer came into the crowd with the public after their set to watch queens of the stoneage. These days, Ry Cooder is a musical novelist and I happen to believe that his format of album making is quietly revolutionary. Here is another great example of what a concept album should be like. Mysterious, Iconic, Intruiging and totally musical.

In an age where you select a few tracks of an album for a download, it's quite incredible that we have an artist who makes you realise what a lazy musical culture we live in.

It's time to wake up People !!! Music is still alive ...

If you've grown up being trapped in the car with your parents music selection... plus also enjoy music with a good rock beat and decent lyrics, this will be for you!
I was very impressed by the range of years, actually decades, covered here.
There are some fillers, as others have mentioned, but all tracks have enough rhythm and beats to keep you awake on long journeys.
For those who are skipping some of the tracks, maybe you've just become accustomed to your own varied listening threshold - fortunately mine has built up over many years and memories of times, people (especially my family's favourites) and places came flooding back. I'd never heard of Johnny Cash until this cd appeared in the cd player at work. Needless to say, it came home with me about a week later, and has been in my car ever since. There's something about johnny Cash that is totally mesmerising, & i'm even more hooked since watching walk the line, which is one of my favourite films. This deserves a place in every CD collection.

His cd's make me feel good when im alone and dont know were any one is trying to work my arse of to achieve something it reminds me of being in love, break ups from bad relationships, the danger of extremity the beach and the calm waves, and how Bush miss treated the Iraqi's when he could of arrested the Taliban, this is a love record and im not embarrased to say it unfortunately hiding on there was you better hope your not alone to skank me bestest record apart from this track.

I must say when I played this the first 5 times I was a bit disappointed with it compared to Plans and Translanticism....it wasn't as immediate.....but now the melodies have got into my soul......and I am now counting the days (12 !) till I see them live for the first time.....

Its a bit edgier than the previous two.....but thats a good thing.....
