This is the first RBF album I ever heard, and I definately prefer it to 'We're not happy till you're not happy'
A good buy, quite upbeat musically, with depressing but sarcastic lyrics which are thoroughly enjoyable. I like pretty much every song on this album, there are very few weak tracks.

First off this was an experimental album that was a bit of a giggle for all those people who think they know the caddies like the back of their hand. This Mad Caddies album is not there best but it is a very cacthy album (Wierd Beard!) and I personally don't think that is a bad thing and those pirate songs are just so good live (trust me you havn't lived till you've joined in on a conga line and done role play with complete strangers while listening to wierd beard live) anywho, A great album well worth the buy regardless of it being piratey!!! YARRR!

Less Than Jake : The Pez Collection

Less Than Jake do tend to fall into the same trap as other mid 90's punk/ska explosion bands in that after a while all tracks seem to run together. That's why I mostly by label samplers to get a variety of sounds, rather than band albums.
This release compiles tracks from other LTJ albums, and if your LTJ collection is sizeable I wouldn't bother getting this as you'd have the tunes already. The CD swings along with great energy and you will find yourself joining in. "My own flag", "One last cigarette" and "Liquor store" are my personal favourites. LTJ are not quite up to the level of the almighty Rancid, but I'd recommend this release to any ska/punk fans.

my favourite tracks are confucious and chinatown - the names are very apt for the skatalites' sound as a whole - with echoes of an oriental minor key.

i've been listening to most of these tracks at "gaz's rockin blues" for 20 years without knowing their titles - and today i found them out, thanks to the "lucky kitty radio show" (both of which can be found online)...and i'm now placing an order for this fantastic album.

Civil Disobedients

dont be put off by the parade of 5 star reviews which may make it seem that this is one of those 'loved by a select few, loathed by everyone else' types, because it truly is an original. only if you absolutely hate ska and rock should you not own this album, and even then you should listen to it before you decide. it is not to say that there are not a few weaker songs on this album, but in general, capdown have created a genre for themselves and run with it, and the result is true art-capdown deserve to be more famous than they are.
