Like the last reviewer, and many, many others, The Blues Brothers was a film I first watched when I was about 10 and it introduced me to a whole new world of music.
This soundtrack was the first record I ever owned and it is where I first heard a lot of artists that I may otherwise never of heard of, since I had only really listened to pop and ska before.
This is a great collection and younger people especially will find it it very educational. If you enjoy the soundtrack it would also be a good idea to look up some of the other artists featured in the film but not on the soundtrack, like Sam and Dave and John Lee Hooker.
A fun film and a fun soundtrack, try the other Blues Brothers recordings too, you ... Read More:

The best thing about Count Arthur is that I can relisten to these cds again and again, and still find them amusing. Can't really say that about any other comedian that I can think of off the top of my head. I listen to Count Arthur frequently when I'm feeling down and he never fails to bring me back up again. Absolutely brilliant! Thank you 'Count Arthur'!

The songs on this album, unlike processed pop, show a variety that keeps the listener interested throughout. The tracks range from vocal dialogue, to instrumentals, and to both english and foreign singing. Even with such a range, the overall flow of the album is held together by the common mellow and meaningful feel. Of course by mellow I certainly don't mean dull, but rather that it's not really going to hype you up. What it will do is make you listen and listen intently. 'A Satisfied Mind' is a perfect example, as the lyrics are powerful and flow deep.
If you own and like the soundtrack for the first Kill Bill, I would recommend that you buy this album. Although there are some really strong tracks in the first album, the overall quality ... Read More:

This is an excellent score to a truly brilliant film. As someone who has played this score with an orchestra it really does encorporate the true sounds of the pirate way of life. It has so many different atmospheres, the music is terific. This is a must have soundtrack!!!!!

Those at "The Only Album You'll Ever Need" studios have really succeeded in putting together an excellent arrangement of 34 masterpieces for the classical guitar in "The Only Guitar Album You'll Ever Need."
It is true that classical guitar playing attracts only a limited range of people, but even if you only mildly enjoy or are the slightest bit interested in hearing works by famous guitar composers such as Rodrigo, Villa-Lobos or even Bach, then "The Only Guitar Album You'll Ever Need" won't fail to please you.
I was content to see that the majority of the most famous guitar pieces were included here; including 'Concierto de Aranjeuz' (if only the second movement) and 'Cavatina' (this time ... Read More:

Like the film it accompanies, John Williams' score is an undeniably good piece of work, but isn't quite in the same league as the first 3. There's nothing that really stands out as memorable and it just kind of passes you by. It's much more minimalistic than the old scores as well and reuses several themes from the past films, which just feels abit lazy. When the action does kick in it's quite exciting, but overall it's just mereley 'okay'.

This is a great soundtrack to a great film. As can be expected the songs are beter than the incidental music with stand out songs including 'True Love's Kiss ' and 'Happy Working Song' which are sang beautifully by the very talented Amy Adams. Anyone who likes the film will enjoy this.

I'd recomend highly of not buying this CD, unless you intend to use it in a video (so that it isn't protected).
Why not buy the CD? Its a very good CD and film, yes, but the songs are 90% useless without the videos, like Beelzeboss. Beelzeboss is a rock off with Satan, with amazing dancing (in a sarcastic way) so, the video is kind of important for this and many others. I tried listening to Beelzeboss, didn't feel the same. There's not much point in buying it, unless ya gonna use it in a film of somekind. Best option for you is too download the videos off of google-video (this is still staying legal these options), purchasing off of Itunes or various other options you may find (perhaps filming it ya-self).
