i bought this because i fancied some suicidal and this was the cheapest the shop had to offer. it's nothing amazing, but a good fun listen and something that grows on me after i get over how ridiculous some of the songs are. seeing how it seems to be the cheapest amazon has to offer, you might as well buy it too!

This is a really cool buy because of all the non-album tracks, which are excrutiangly fast, loud and hard.Nice remastering job,now taken from the original master tapes rather than from the vinyl singles, like they used to come as bonus on early cd japanese editions.Only complaint is that they still don't compensate for the awful dinamic compression this records suffered when recorded, something I can correct with my dinamic expander. The ¨rough ¨production LEAPS to life then. The live tracks are inaudible and confuse, but who cares when you get like over an hour of hard-hitting non-album VENOM songs !!!!!!

what we have here is the final performance of the classic sepultura line up and what they do is tear their way through a rabid performance of their best matierial to date and at a breakneck speed. perfect introduction to the band as every era of the band is represented and the sound quality is fantastic.

If you’re any kind of Death Metal fan at all, you should have a copy of this album. On it’s release, it was about as nasty as metal got, and even today, it still has an unmistakeable intensity to it. With songs like ‘Baptized In Blood’, ‘Mutilation’ and ‘Torn To Pieces’, Death’s mainman, the late Chuck Schuldiner, virtually invented the genre of gore metal, later perfected by the likes of Cannibal Corpse. Whilst not as extreme as most of today’s Death Metal bands, Death could still turn it on when they needed to. The stand-out track of this album, and of ‘80s Death Metal as a whole is the fantastic title track, though there isn’t a bad song on it, notwithstanding that some of the ... Read More:

So, this is where it started for Anthrax. This album features the original singer who isn't bad at all - so don't let that put you off. Sure, this isn't their best album, but it contains all the ingredients that made Anthrax great. It's by far their fastest album, but there are moments where the pace slows down. The lyrics are intentionally cheesy and probably the funniest of all the Anthrax lyrics. There are plenty of worthy songs on here, don't start off here, but if you're looking for thrash you should probably get this before their Bush era stuff. The Armed and dangerous E.P. has Joey singing and features some great songs which are unavailable elsewhere (except AAD itself).

WOW! I heard the title track heartwork accidently and i got a huge tingle and shiver down my back! Quite simply without Carcss and At the gates, metal would be less rich! Amazing melodic metal that will blow you away!!

Genuinely, I mean that. This album is an absolute corker and the chap who stated that it was a 'failed experiment' clearly doesn't understand the band or the genre. Maybe he read somewhere that Napalm Death had a 'slump' and was trying to be clever with his review. Let me tell you, that comment was never levelled at this record. In fact, this is Napalm Death at their absolute peak and like the other 5 Star reviewer, I think this is their best album by a country mile.
Don't forget, this is the album which received a 5K review in Kerrang and got a 5 Star review in Raw (if anyone remembers that fine magazine!) upon its release.
So why is this such a great album??? - Firstly, its monsterously heavy, but it never descends into a noisy mess.
Secondly, ... Read More:
