Wierd Al Yankovic is about as funny as finding out a relative has died. Simply changing certain words to songs and making stupid faces in videos is not witty. I hate him and everything he stands for. My ex-friend played this album excessively thinking it was funny. We no longer speak after i threatened to eviscerate him. Don't buy this, for humours's sake.

There seems to be a huge cultural gulf between the USA and Europe.Carlin is considered "controvertial" and "offends".As an Irishman I found this cd pretty tame and pretty lame.Americans tend to be politicly unaware (witness all the lies at the recent Convention speeches and how its lapped up) so they find Carlin extreme.

This cd warmed up 3 minutes from the end.Carlin does not have the stage presence of someone like Andrew Dice Clay, what he says is interesting its just the delivery isn't that great.Hes like a history teacher from your College.

The British have had better "extrme" comics like Peter Cook (check out the Pete & Dud cds - much better) and Chris Morris (check out the Brass Eye dvd) and I don't think Carlin ... Read More:

When "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart" appeared in 1960 it became the first comedy record ever to top the Billboard album charts. A quick follow-up recording, "The Button-Down Mind Strikes Back!" was quickly produced and also hit the top of the charts, as well as winning a couple of Grammy awards. The result was that virtually overnight Newhart became, as this album title notes, "the most celebrated new comedian since Atilla the Hun." There are six routines on this album, most of which use Newhart's trademark technique of being part of a conversation. Adam Sandler, you either love him or hate him! In America he is huge but in England not so much, in fact few people on this side of the Atlantic actually realise he has released his own albums. This offering is not so good, too much song not enough spoken word humour Although the goat song is fantastic and follows up the "talking goat" skit on his previous cd superbly that is probably the only real high point to this disappointing album.

Overall, this is a pretty good comedy album sure to entertain Adam Sandler fans; however, some of the bits will very likely frustrate or turn off listeners who have yet to join the ranks of the Sandler faithful. The language earns the album a Mature rating, but there is nothing shockingly graphic to be found here. One of the great things about Sandler is the variety of comic media he brings to the microphone. For instance, you get four songs here, including the well-known and quite popular Thanksgiving Song and Lunchlady Land of Saturday Night Live fame.
