Although the comedy is a little uneven, this album contains some of the funniest material I have ever heard. Of course, the big selling point is the inclusion of The Chanukah Song; this live performance is great fun to listen to at any time of the year. Amazingly enough, it is not the funniest track on the album. That honor goes to Respect; it is the funniest comedy sketch I have ever heard in my life, and it actually gets funnier the more times I listen to it. A little boy describes his first day at school to his grandfather and his cronies at the social club. Birth of a Prince

Okay, technically this may not be a 5 star classic album but being released amidst the amount of diluted and commercialised hip hop junk out there, this album is definetely a refreshing slice of east-coast rap music. Rza has always been one of my favourite MC's and his technical ability and lyrical genius shines on this album over layers of some of the most funky hooks and beats that you are likely to hear this year. It's also good to see Rza returning to his conscious roots by using uplifting intelligent lyrics as opposed to some of the trash he spurted out on the Bobby Digital album. Generally speaking, Carroll's own publisher seems to take much pride in being the originator of this masterpiece and have always presented the book in the most faithful manners to Carroll's and Tenniel's original visions.
