I was expecting a lot more from this album, especially after the second single release, Moving To New York. It promised a slightly more interesting and mature sound then the first, very pop sound of Let's All Dance to Joy Division. I was left underwhelmed by the mish mash of sounds, tempo and styles, non of which grabbed my attention long enough to make me want to hear the next track.

High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. Tricky this one. The album having already garnered plaudits aplenty.

Nothing wrong with simplicity. Nothing wrong with reduction.
I'm all for it. Ms Harvey's 2007 release 'White Chalk' is a fine
example of what is possible when a great artist distils their muse.

Mr Anderson's songwriting abilities, however, leave much to be desired.
This bid for plausible creative gravitas misses its' target by a mile.

Coming in at little more than 30 minutes the nine numbers on this release
display little dynamic or compositional variation.
The narrow formula is unrelenting.

The first single from this album, The Winner Takes It All, is considered one of the group's best songs. It returned them to the top of the UK singles charts after an absence of two and a half years and six near-misses. The album itself, coming on the back of Abba's immensely successful 1979 tour, was a massive hit and broke records in advanced orders.

However, the rest of the album just doesn't live up to the promise of the first single. A new maturity was evident, with lyrics becoming more personal, but there are more fillers than classics here. Voulez Vous

'Voulez-Vous' is the ABBA album that is full of disco tracks. It is so energetic and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. These 24-bit remastering CD's are simply amazing indeed. My favourite track from this album is 'Angeleyes.' It has the best beat out of all the songs on 'Voulez-Vous.' I also love 'As Good As New', 'Kisses of Fire', 'Does Your Mother Know', 'If It wasn't For The Nights', 'I Have A Dream' and 'The King Has Lost His Crown.'

I also enjoy the bonus tracks featured on 'Voulez-Vous.' 'Lovelight' was the B-side to 'Chiquitita' when the single was released. 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)' is magnificent' and the same goes to 'Summer Night City.' A Fantastic album

I bought this because I have always been a fan of dance music and Cream. I usually know a lot of the tunes but can't always remember what they are called so was not put off by not recognising a lot of the song titles on the CD. The TV advert relating to this product played a montage of songs that I know so I thought "great" - but, regrettably, this is no different from any other compilation CD in that there is a handful of popular memorable tunes (as heard on the advert) then a load of album-like dross. Doesn't represent 10 years of Cream very well - I would expect to know all the tunes -or at least most of them because there have been some BIG banging tunes in the last 10 years - If you have money to burn then go for it but personally I am annoyed that I wasted my very tight budget on ... I was actually going to make exactly the point that Mr Hunter made about this album. "If you have bought previous chillout albums before, then it's fairly pointless you buying this." However, if like me you haven't, then it's very much worth the purchase.
I have had a void in my musical collection - I have the most chilled of chillout from the likes of Enya up to my ears, and I have the most banging of trance that the likes of MoS have dished out for years up to higher than my hair. However, chillout from general artists I didn't have a great deal of. This album has pretty much filled that void.
