This is a great compilation with an inspired combination of recent hits and old massive tunes.
It's worth buying for the first CD alone but if, like me, you do not have all the tracks on back catologue then, at 5 CDs, it's fantastic value for money.

Norman Jay (MBE) is at the helm of an eighth collection issued under the title 'Good Times', although unlike previous volumes this is issued on the Azuli Record label, and bears the addition 'London' to the title legend. But it isn't all about change (in a reflection of Jay's recent departure from BBC London), the compilation still features the usual two cds of records apparently chosen personally by Norman.
Given that this is the eighth compilation in the series one might expect the law of dimishing returns to have begun, as the tracks which are widely and generally acknowledged as 'classics' have already been included in previous editions - and Jay does appear to have chosen tracks which (for the most part) are not likely to have ... Anyone giving this album 1 star and saying "they are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto" is an idiot. Do you not realise that Scooter are just taking the p!ss? All the tracks are proper Euro trash with hilarious lyrics "it's not a bird, it's not a train, it must be Dave who's on the train" - this is clearly meant to be tongue in cheek. The album is great fun and makes you laugh out loud not to mention tap your feet. The new stuff is fantastic and fits perfectly with "jumpstyle". Check out Patrick Jumpen on You Tube to see some Jumpstyling to Scooter, v catchy! I saw Scooter live in Berlin years ago and, believe me, they are just having a laugh. Don't get offended, just get jumpin'!!

I'm oldish (i.e. not at college) and am of the opinion that Foals are trying something interesting. I'm not following any hype - in fact that put me off a little. Really improving in the glass this one. It will stick around I'm pretty sure as will they.
Release Date April 14, 2008
This is bland MTV Canto-pop masquerading as 'exotic', 'spiritual' Chinese Mongolian world music. The record is dull and overproduced. I saw her perform at the World Music Prom - her performance was all style and glitz, no substance. She seemed totally plastic, unlike the brilliant other acts (Bassekou Kouyate, Son De La Frontera, to name but 2) that performed there. Give this a miss

I love love love this Cd. It is gentle and calming and exactly right for massage use and other calming therapies. There various tunes some with lilting vocals and ethenic influences. One tune reminds me a bit of Omars there is nothing like this as the intro is similar bass line of guitar. All my cleints love it and I listen to it over and over with out getting bored. It is just the right hint of relaxation and tuneful melodies. I highly recommend it to all. It is a good unwind at end of the day cd too.It has great mix of asain and western influences and I will be looking out for more of this type of Cd as does what it says.

I first heard the song Case of You in the film Practical Magic and thought how wonderful it was. I bought the film soundtrack (the whole music selection for the film was pretty good) and then i bought the album Blue to see what the rest of Jonis work was like.
I fell in love with the album so completely, that now i've moved to MP3 and sold 99% of my CD's i can't bear to part with this one. One of the others is Court & Spark.
The music is so simple, the strings, drums, and her voice- the most wonderful voice i have ever heard, conveying such emotion that the music and words combined make the whole album an amazing rollercoaster of feelings and thoughts.
I'd recommend to anyone who has ever felt any kind of emotion. ... Read More:

It just amazes me each time I listen to this album. The enormous talent. The versatility. The sheer inventiveness.
It follows a succession of albums that have got better and better. I was so taken aback by Origin of Symmentry and when I saw Muse live I was so speechless at how talented Matthew Bellamy is. But this album.....
It's everything about it. You can hear the orchestral basis for so many of these songs translated into unbelievable howling guitars. The powerful and poignant lyrics. The inventiveness.
See them live when you can and see how amazing this band is. They are incredible.

This is a truly excellent album. THe acoustic sets are superb and show John Mayer off as the brilliant guitarist that he is. The trio sets and in deed some of the full band songs sound very much like Jimmie Vaughan. It is excellent, the songs are his best, from all previous album, but live. The small twiddly bits between/ leading into songs are very good and original. I would definitely recommend this any day to anyone who like rock, blues or jazz.(I mostly listen to metal by Mayer is the Jazz man that I like, he is a shinning example for all those in his genre) *****. Buy it.
