I stumbled upon the music of Miss Kittin while listening to a web radio stream, being immediately captivated by her voice on the song 'Wash and Dry' from Batbox, her latest album. After listening further on her MySpace site, I immediately ordered Batbox (and other Miss Kittin CDs such as First Album, I.Com, On the Road, and Radio Caroline). I have since become a devoted fan of Miss Kittin!
This is great music for dancing, partying, driving, and relaxation. If you are curious about electronica or techno musical genres, I highly recommend Batbox as the place to start. If you are into dance and DJ forms of music, Batbox is a must have!
If you are familiar with Miss Kittin, you will be blown away by the significant musical ... Read More:

These three lads would go onto to produce some of the most memorable electronic and dance music of the early 90's, but for now they seemed just to be working their way upto it. Contains an early version of 'Pacific' which is a must for all fans though.
Other highlights include the speedy 'Cobra Bora' and the female vocal led 'Anaconda'.
But it does lack consistency and there is no flow to the album. It just sounds as if it has been thrown together.

With some of the biggest of techno's big beats and samples recognizable to any self-respecting '70s AOR junkie, Apollo 440 is an electronic act which combines rock culture, futuristic and technological imagery with a sound-system attitude into a high-gloss sampledelic package. As a reference point, think of Crystal Method on a Zeppelin trip. ELECTRO GLIDE IN BLUE, their full-length debut, is the kind of techno album any rock fan could love. Start with "Ain't Talking About Dub," which marries a classic Eddie Van Halen riff with some jungle beats to spawn a triple-time, heavy metal romp in a bass-heavy vacuum; move onto "Altamont Super-Highway Revisited" where a dirty electric slide guitar plays on top of a seething techno throb; or feel the ... While most Ibiza comps are enjoyable but a little cheesy, Disco Invaders from Cocoon is from indeed another dimension. Chris Tietjen mix is (wait for it) deep, tribalish, minimal, energetic, techno blast from start to end. A real talent to watch. CD2 is an album/mix from Johnny D (by far one of the best producers of the year) and Reboot. You kinda wish this was unmix as all the tracks are of high order; Orbitalife is of couse included. Amazing buy pronto!

Richard D James makes music that Beethoven would aspire too if he was alive today. 26 Mixes is a fantastic return to form after a slightly weaker Druqks (although still great). CD1 is great to listen to at night. In the garden. Looking up at the stars. Naked if possible. (no experience of the last one.) It's haunting rapture. Personally although this is against some of the views, I LOVE the remix of 'Heroes' which is so wonderfully disjointed and all over the place. Bowies vocals add to the haunting melody. CD2 is one to listen to while walking through the city streets and wondering why you're so much more musically enlightened that all those walking around you. In short the artistic ingenuity and purity of RDJ means you feel like you've realised something no ... Read More:

Electronic producer Andrew Weatherall (of Sabres Of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen fame) has since long pioneered a kind of deviant dancefloor edge through many of his productions. His excellent "Nine O'Clock Drop" collection (2000) for the now sadly defunct Nuphonic label (consisting mainly of early/late 80'S new wave gems such as Gina X's "Nice Mover" or 23 Skidoo's much sampled "Coup") or the awesome rockish "From The Double Gone Chapel" (2004) made with his pal Keith Tenniswood under the Two Lone Swordsmen moniker were just premisces of what was about to come.
On this also brilliant compilation, Mr Weatherall sums what's always been at the core of his mind; intelligent entertainment, whether it's spread through house music (such as his early 90's ... Read More:

When I heard that the new album from V Snares would have a ragga influence and 90's drum and bass feel to it, in all honesty, I wasn't holding too much hope for it.
How wrong was I?
I was only introduced to V Snares last year but I now have his full back catalogue with the only disapointment in Winter in the belly...
This album is Aaron at his best and you can tell this is what he enjoys doing best. Back to old school beats with some tracks reaching a ferocity that I haven't heard since Winnepeg.
There are quite a number of tracks on here that are undeniably modern masterpieces..Most noteably Kyokushin, Eurocore MVP and Flashforward.

Moses is sung by Ian McCullough of Echo and the Bunnymen - Not Bernard Sumner of New Order. Bernard sang on Spanish Heart which appeared on Ex:el, their previous album.
