This album is stupidly good. The only CD that comes close to this album is Air's 'Moon Safari' that is legendary itself. If you are looking for a chill out album and you don't already own this you have been missing out for years. 'At the River' is of course the best thing about this album but every track has its merits and 'Your Song' will also grow on you. All great songs can be overplayed but very few remain as good as the first time you hear them but 'At the River' is one of those select few. Recommended for someone looking to relieve stress. This is surely the best album ever made.

Love him or loathe him, Oakenfold has had an indelible influence on UK dance music, particularly by taking it to a wider audience. This mix compilation brings together, for the first time, productions from every stage of his career, from early balearic remixes of The Cure and the Happy Mondays to trancey Cream Anthems and some of the rock-influenced dance sounds he plays today. There are even a few previously unreleased mixes of club classics like EBTG's "Missing".
It may not as cutting edge as James Holden or as subtle as Lee Burridge (both of whom I highly recommend to those with more underground tastes!) but it is a lot more listenable and accessible than the vast majority of dance compilations (and it's likely to stay in your collection ... Read More:

Listen to them EVERYDAY! I am completely transfixed! Great to listen to on the drive journey to-from work. This CD is Highly Recommended!

I'd never heard any of their stuff until I listened to Amazon's On-line Samples & read the reviews. I was a bit wary of the Simon & Garfunkel comparisons as I'm far from a fan, but when I played the 1st track of this remix album I just sank into a state of utter thought provoking "chill" & played the album back to back twice! The vocals are amazing & very uplifting. This is coming from a fan of Zero 7, Bonobo, Bent, Quantic, & Tim 'Love' Lee. Buy it now!

A nice album overall, though nothing 'amazing' really. Cd1 has a particularly mixed theme, with soothing songs such as Les Nuits, or the lovely No Ordinary Morning (wow). Cd2 has more of a beat, but the rhythms are still quite bliss.
Good album, though for me, the best chill out album money can buy is Chilled Euphoria...

The problem is, I had already heard the fantastic "Brainfreeze" and "Product Placement" by DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, not to mention a couple of DJ Yoda's "How to Cut & Paste" albums.
Those guys really know how to mix their records - Liam Howlett doesn't.
The scratching is nothing special and the blending (and choice) of tracks at times seems random. There are some good moments in the first two CD tracks, but that's largely due to the songs themselves and little to do with the mixing. The rest of the album is very mediocre.

2008 and Sasha, but a mere 30, has triumphantly reaffirmed his mastery and prowess in electronic music. His Emfire imprint has been tearing at the seams of music production with prog behemoths such as Coma, and Who Kiilled Sparky?, and now the looong awaited sequel to the forever listenable Involver will, in my humble opinion, blow minds for years to come. This is music at its finest, this is Sasha at the top of his game.
