Chaka Khan was at her height between 1978 - 1985 in the UK, during that period she had 4 top twenty hits. Her first hit was the disco smash I,m Every Woman which charted at #11. Discotheques across the land could be heard playing this track with its orchestrial influence. Strangely enough when remixed and re-released it reached #8. Her #1 hit I Feel For You plus Remix versions of This Is My Night #14 and Eye To Eye #16 a full eight and a half minutes worth are also here. Yvette Marie Stevens to give her her maiden name started out with the 1970,s funk band Rufus and included on this cd is my personal favourite Aint Nobody which i had on 12inch vinyl way back in 1983. Although not as widely popular in the U.S. as in England, 5 Star managed to score several hits. Most U.S. audiences first became aware of them from "All Fall Down", which hit the R&B and dance charts. "Can't Wait Another Minute" and "If I Say Yes" are prime examples of Brit-Pop at it's finest. Why they never became super huge here is still a mystery.

First and foremost this is a generous 4star, and in my opinion Street Love was a 5.
This album is one of those where tracks sound similar and there are no real hooks or lyrics that grab you. its asif Lloyd has grown up from his last album, which i can only say is a bad thing as in more than 1 song he sings about wanting to 'have your babies'. im sorry but thats not what i want to be listning to with my girlfriend. but on the whole the Disk plays well in my car and i like lstening to it, good sound R&B.

2) Great song, good beat and lil wayne is awsom *****
3) Apart from hook there is no real grabbing lyrics, however good song.

Great tunes, bit electro mixed with rap and the odd soft ballad creeping in.
She has a sweet voice but knows how to sing and her style is not like anything I've heard before. There is one or two on here that get on my nerves, I think the intro to the album is irritating as hell, but the rest is great. Lyrics are a bit odd, but it's refreshing to hear someone singing without the emotional angst and whiney voice that seems to be the norm these days.
Upbeat tunes and very catchy.
I will be buying her next one.

This certainly has to be one of my best albums of 2007. Believe me this ain't really the sort of music I listen to, especially coming from an Industrial/Neofolk/Ambiant background, however this album is a real exception in mainstream music, with some outstanding contributions from Timbaland, who I was introduced to from this album. Definatley 5 stars and a real misfit in my collection where it sits amongst the likes of Death in June and Throbbing Gristle.

Stay- we all know this song great beat with ne-yo's slick vocals
Like me get this right- Again great beat and a great tune
So sick-This song never gets boring
When you mad- His third single, love the video,it is about how he think's his girlfriend is even more sexy when she is mad, this is actually a personal experience of his, coz he said this on choice fm radio, brillant radio station.
It just ain't right- Great song one of my favourites, shows off his vocal talent, listen 2 the song and you will know what i mean

I have to say that, for a debut album, it's not bad - he's got a few really good tracks in here. Justin's Pop roots was pulled out then replaced with R&B and light hip-hop. Some of the songwriting is downright corny lyrically but several of the songs were well done by the Neptunes and Timbaland, they made this album more than Justin.

The ballads are not that great to me but the dance tracks are well done. The tracks that stand out to me are "Cry Me a River", "Rock Your Body", "Senorita", "Last Night", "Still On My Brain", "What You Got (Oh No)", and "Let's Take a Ride".
