No. This album is a 5 star album, however in comparison to century end's its only 4. this album starts with what are you and at first, it was the only david gray song i disliked, however after a while i realised it was a really good song, mainly because it leads so well into one of Grays best songs, The Light. This album does have a few iffy tracks, like loves old songs, but songs like coming down and new horizons boost this album. the problems gray had with this album was tough, but he still managed to create a stand out album

This super value budget CD features the very best of Bonnie Tyler's recordings from the 1980s [with the exceptions of ''Straight From The Heart'' and ''A Rockin Good Way'' with Shakin' Stevens]. Included on the album are Bonnie's two biggest hits, ''Total Eclipse Of The Heart'' [a UK no.1] and ''Holding Out For A Hero''. Highlights from Bonnie's no.1 album ''Faster Than The Speed Of Light'' are featured including the title track, ''Have You Ever Seen The Rain'' and ''Take Me Back''. The other songs on the CD are highlights from Bonnie's other hit album ''Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire'' great recordings such as ''Ravishing'', ''If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man'', '' Loving You's A Dirty Job But Somebody's Gotta Do It'', ''Here She Comes'' and ... For a b-sides and rarities compilation this fits together suprisingly well, and is coherent enough to pass for an full album. Whilst TMDGAF alone is worth the money, the other tracks map the evolution of SFA from a techno band (shown on Guerrilla- Wherever I lay my phone and Some things come from nothing) to their current electism. Essential for any SFA fan, and recommended to any curious, free-thinking music fan

I bought this album last week and it's still on my stereo. Previously I only had A New Day at Midnight and White Ladder, so I thought it was about time I started delving into Gray's back catalogue. You might expect this album to consist of filler tracks of B side quality - not so. They're all pretty amazing songs, all equally good, and you wouldn't really expect anything less from him. David Gray has a talent for not writing any duff songs, and if there were an album of all his B sides I would quite happily listen to it!
The simplicity of these tracks is what makes the album. They're not overloaded with layers of instruments; most of the time it's just Gray and his guitar. With his heartfelt lyrics and vocal style he manages to pull you into ... Read More:

I tried to get this album on vinyl for years and was blown away when I was able to buy it on CD. The production has been critised, butI like Roger Bain's productions of Budgie and Sabbath albums Gritty, dirty and heavy.

As previous reviewers have said This really is one of the finest albums of the NWOBHM era. [ God how i miss those days ]This album is every bit as good today as it was then. It`s true that the band never found there niche within the H/M scene untill it was to late but don`t let the fact that you may not have heard much if anything about this band or about there albums. This album is full of great songs & great playing & in guitarist John Thomas they found one of the best players around at the time. Check out "Turned To Stone" If you like your Rock/Metal & you like songs you can walkaway singing & enjoy great sounding albums with great playing, then this is a must buy.

A moody album that can make your hairs stand on end. This album is spine-tingly good. If you like White Ladder (like myself) or acoustic tracks in general, then you should not hesitate to buy this album. This is David Gray's best offering but it is raw. Not an album for chart-music/pop fans. Buy it!

At the end of the seventies rock was dead - or at least very nearly. My god - I was just 16. The punk/power pop/new wave/ska/mod trends of that time attracted the attention of all the fine young things as well as a servile music industry and proper rock music (wooooooargh, yeah baby, baby, I'm off to the mystical rainbow on my iron horse etc.) was left to wither on the vine. Led Zep were in a decline that was about to become terminal (quite literally), Purple were long gone, Sabbath were playing revolving doors with a whole raft of singers. There were new pretenders such as Rush who after a very promising early "proper rock "career decided they wanted to be Depeche Mode - and a long time it took me to forgive them for it. Every American rock band of note decided the ... Read More:
