There are some hilarious moments in this film ( for example hugh grant having a punch up with a man dressed in a dinosaur suit in a shop)but the writers failed to get the balance of romance and comedy right and at times the plot was a bit ridiculous and the storyline seemed abrupt and didn't really flow.Always an interesting film though and it was always going to be with great actors like hugh grant,julianne moore,jeff goldblum and robin williams involved.

On the whole I thought the soundtrack was brilliant. Yeah, I'd agree with the other reviewer there are some repeated riffs throughout the score and in that respect the score is overlong by 10 mins. However, there are some excellent high octane moments in the soundtrack that film are somewhat muted in the film where sound effects and speech kick in. Here, I feel you get the full idea of what Hans was visualising.

I particularly enjoy the opening track "Brothers" + "Nuke" and "Greed". It doesn't play like a conventional album but it can be listened to unlike some soundtracks that have the occasional track with loads of innane percussion to signal action pieces (Brad Fiedel - Terminator?).
