Bought this CD for my nan whos in her 80's. She can't hear very well, but this CD is very clear unlike others I have bought that contain old songs. She has such a lot of enjoyment listening to it, she knows all of the songs. Plus also, being recorded with a live audience makes it even better as they participate with singing & clapping. You must buy it, its great!

It pains me to say it, but after much time spent genuinely trying to like this album and find some quality in it I have to say its dissapointing.It's not terrible by any stretch but its just bland. Like so many have stated before me it just fails to live up to previous works, I mean it really dosen't sit with the others at all. It feels like a tired re-working of previous efforts and themes. Maybe 'Live' some of these tracks may jump out, but I feel doubtful when you know the likes of Mr.Jones, Round Here, Long December, Mrs. Potters Lullaby are coming. The Crows are and probably will always be one of my favourite bands and I know the depths this band can take you to, but I guess Im growing up a little at 30! but I don't know if this band is ... It's strange that her albums have in someway regressed in maturity and depth. each one somehow lacking the individuality of the one before. This is the weakest album, no doubt about it. The strongest tracks are 'rosey and mick' and 'perfectly clear' I always loved the unashamed sweetness and innovence in her tracks, such as in 'this way'and 'break me', but here songs such as 'love is a garden' border on nausea.

I bought this album without hearing it first, thinking that the Global Underground label can do little wrong- recently they've put out amazing artist albums from Dark Globe, Lostep, The Remote, and Trafik.

I was a bit disappointed by this one. It's slightly forgettable downtempo, almost lounge, music with moody female vocals, slightly reminiscent of Zero 7. It's very polished but it's just not fascinating in the way that I thought the Dark Globe and Lostep albums were.

The title of my piece might sound more like i'm about to review Casablanca than a Drive Thru records album. But rest assured i do not make any false pretences here; this record is an absolute must in ANY music fans collection.

As others have noted, Rx Bandits have a come long way from their first two albums 'Those Damn...' and 'Halfway Between Here and There' (which were both fantastic albums it is worth remembering) and moved from a fairly straight forward, generic third wave ska approach towards a completely new and unchartered territory in music.
