After rocking out to the well compilated Air Guitar 3, I was a quite displeased to find "The LAST Air Guitar Album in the World...EVER!!" in bold letters. Then I found this recently released album in the shops, Permission to ROCK. The track list was the thing that really got me. It seemed that the best songs from the previous Air Guitar albums had been compiled into here (a compilation of a compilation if you will) plus 2 fantastic songs from rock revival chart toppering newcomers The Darkness. The album is a great rock collection to listen to, dispite the lack of rock monsters like AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses and Def Leppard. im a sucker for buying compilations to rock my days to despite a number having already the best tracks that makes this two year old compilation headbangingly delicious.

it has my favourite tracks in Skid Row's Youth Gone Wild, The Darkness I believe in a thing called love, and Judas Priest's Breaking the Law and the rest just keeps the express train of mine from going off the rails.

Pure rock and heavy metal at its steel like best!

When driving it doesn't matter how cheesy or par ce a song is just as long as you can sing along to it and crank up the volume. With this box box set you get a mix of the loud, the power ballads and the downright dodgy all in one.

Some of the more delightful of offerings come from Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and Chris Rea(Who has the driving anthems market covered in my view) Spun over three discs there are ample tunes to get you pipes around here. T'Pau, Phil Collins and The Cars, with their awesome "Drive" are there to give you your dosage of power ballads.

This is a brilliant, eclectic mix of guitar based songs. OK they are not all legends and OK there are some standards not included BUT that is the beauty of it. Don't read the track list and just play it and you will be continually suprised and delighted at what you hear. Robert Cray followed by Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. Howlin' Wolf followed by Steppenwolf, Bonnie Raitt by Mayall. I bought this for my teenage son who is learning to play guitar - he loves it but he can't get it out of my machine. Buy it today and smile for the next month!
