This compilation virtually ignores Tears For Fears first album 'The Hurting' by including only one track, 'Change'. It does feature some of Tears For Fears's greatest hits, 'Shout', 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' and 'Sowing the Seeds of Love', and somehow five out of the eight tracks from the 'Songs from the Big Chair' album. There are no tracks from the 'Elemental' and 'Raoul and the Kings of Spain' albums, Tears For Fears's fourth and fifth albums.

Overall, it's a nice compilation but far from complete.

Tears for fears or the label have now released 15+ "collections" that are a combination of a few singles and mainly album tracks + b-sides. This is the latest budget release. Mad World, Shout and Break it down again are the 3 hits. But the b-sides always in the past and sea song are very good. Brian wilson said (track from elemental) is also a great track.
Not sure who this cd is aimed at? any fan will already have everything on this and if you are looking for your first TFF cd i would advise the official hits package.

The cd's booklet is basic to the extreme, just track listing and composer.

Two discs and 35 tracks. Hey! I have always been a fan of these guys from the very first single, and this collection allows the listener to revisit their work from the start in 1982 to 1993.

I gave up listening to chart music around 1990, finally seeing it for what it is, merely a money-making exercise. But tears for Fears, Like Sting and a few others, are one of those musical gifts from the 1980s that continue to merit attention. Two of the major attractions of this group are the strength of the songwriting and the imaginative arrangements of the songs. What can be said of Tears For Fears? They have never been flavour of the month, they are never mentioned as a genre-defining, or era-defining band. Certainly they have not been elevated to any legendary status regardless of two U.S. number ones.
