Every time I hear it I can't stop myself singing along! Yes, it's a rose-tinted, idealistic view of things, but sometimes that is all we want. Other reviewers seem to be taking every word literally, and getting far too in-depth in their analysis. What I think Sandi is saying is that she wants to take the best elements of Punk (the attitude), Folk (the musical arrangements), and 'Hippy'(the innocence), and mix them together into her own style. This song brings a little bit of summer with it - 2 1/2 mins of happy escapism! |
