This CD was bought on a whim trying to use up me holiday cash in New York. Has got to be one of the best albums I've ever bought and I never tire of listening to it, any time of the day or night. The tracks just seamlessly flow from one to another. Have recommended it to loads of mates, Faithless and non Faithless fans alike. I'm a big Faithless fan but this CD is definitely different to their own stuff.

Overall this double CD is fantastic. There are a few dud tracks and all of cd 1 is a bit mellow. But the mixing between tracks is cool and like I said, some really good tracks. I'd buy it, even if you have the individual tracks its worth it. Definitly worth buying.

Tim Simenon's 1995 album could be compared to Massive Attack and Portishead albums from around the same time. It's definitely got that Bristol sound, rolling dubby basslines, crisp vinyl-sounding beats. The fact it's got that feel makes it seem a bit dated but overall it's very serious but it just shines with quality from a brilliant producer. It's also good that there's a few tracks with a bit more 'kick' thrown in for good measure.

There's some high-quality guest appearances as well- Sinead O'Connor, Benjamin Zephaniah, Will Self, Justin Warfield. Well worth a listen.

I absolutely love this cd. Barely a week goes by without it being played.

I don't keep up with this sort of music normally and most things in these genres are a real switch off to me - but I find the material here a total joy. Highlights are definitely Lisa Conquest, Freakpower and the Ben Harper remix which still blows me away.

I cannot imagine that any music fan with an open mind (regardless of usual tastes) will not be delighted by these tunes. I ended up buying a lot of stuff on the back of this compilation. Definitely the best one in the RoC series.

A jazzy, hippity hoppity, gritty, grainy groovy marvel.
