I bought this for the 5.1 mix having owned the original cd for as long as i can remember and wasnt dissapointed. The album sounds so much crisper and cleaner in the 5.1 dts mix, i highly recomend it if you have a good 5.1 sound set up.

This is the third entry of the Depeche Mode singles box set, and it compiles six singles ("Shake the Disease," "It's Called a Heart," "Stripped," "A Question of Lust," "A Question of Time," and "Little 15") with extended remixes and/or bonus tracks. Everything here has been previously released, so if you're looking for any "new" material, you'll be disappointed. However, it's worth picking up since these singles appear to have been remastered, and they feature some interesting cuts like the extended remix of "A Question of Time," the single "It's Called a Heart," the excellent b-side "Black Day," and one of my favorites: "But Not Tonight." This is a very decent compilation of alternative pop and rock from the 1980s. But the track listing makes it look sensational, as if all these bands have done covers of each other's songs. Imagine: The Jam doing Cattle and Cane! Magazine's take on Oblivious! Who wouldn't smile at the thought of They Might Be Giants covering Mercy Seat? Julian Cope has more right than most to have a crack at 24 Hour Party People. Etc.

Unfortunately, the tracks and artists have all got misaligned in the listing above and they're all the original versions. Sigh.

A nice idea in theory, but unfortunately this was not all I had hoped for. There are touches of genius- Veruca Salt's exquisitely tender cover of 'Somebody' and Rammsteins gritty rendition of 'Stripped', but I was sadly dismayed by the bland offerings by The Cure and Smashing Pumpkins whom I would have expected better from.
