They have cleverly mixed and up-beated famous classical tunes to form this wonderful CD. I recieved a copy for christmas and have been listening to it ever since. The music is uplifting but at the same time relaxing. A great and worthwile buy. |

October - Deluxe RemasteredSearch: Celebration by: U2 Release Date July 21, 2008 "October", the second album, is perhaps U2's strangest record : hastily written and recorded, it sees Bono as an evangelical Christian, espousing the virtue of God over a curiously uncohesive musical backing. Some of the songs here are clearly the sound of a band racing against the clock to create enough material for an album, and it is, therefore, the weakest U2 album in their canon. There are some unrecognised moments of genius (such as the title track itself), but these are few and far between. The bonus disc is also, once again, rather underwhelming. Missing You - The CollectionSearch: Celebration by: Chris De Burgh Release Date June 14, 2004 I've had a look at a bunch of compilations and none of them have all the obvious highlights which I've been told are: Don't Pay the Ferryman, Spanish Train, A Spaceman Came Travelling, Patricia the Stripper and Crusader. This compilation had more of those tracks on it than any of the others so I gave it a shot. Some songs are blandly middle of the road but there are some good songs on here. Spectrum specialise in cheap compilations were they take two or three well known hits and then pad out the rest of the disc with obscure album tracks. I don't know De Burgh's back catalogue so I can't say if this is a good selection of songs, but I think it was a good purchase (although I felt dirty about it for weeks afterwards). ... Read More: |
