I Love Salsa: Essential Dance Class HitsSearch: Chichi Peralta by: Various Artists Release Date March 20, 2000 Although I really enjoyed the music,I did find a lot of the tracks very fast to keep up with being a complete beginner.You either have to go ultra slow or extremely fast.I found there were only a few tracks that went at the right speed to comfortably practice as a novice.Will keep it for when I'm an expert!If anyone out ther knows of a CD with a more suitable for beginners,please let me know. |

. Rough Guide To World PartySearch: Chichi Peralta by: Various Artists Release Date February 19, 2007 I love finding new stuff to listen to. This CD introduces tracks from existing Rough Guide compilations of music from individual countries, regions and festivals. Having listened to it once I want to hear more. The stand-out track for me was Louisina-i-a (sic) by Dr Michael White which just flips me into full New Orleans Mardi Gras parade mode and Deaf Shepherd must be thirsty so it's my round everybody....but play some more whilst I'm fighting my way to the bar. Loved the carnival and merengue, Mohammed Issa Matona is growing on me but if this is a world party, Tinariwen from Mali would be the one sitting on the stairs. |
