Probably the best album i've bought in a couple of years! Whether you were a part of the clubbing era that had such character and heart, or your a newcomer who wants to look back, few albums will beat this. With Disc 1 including classic full beat tracks such as The Whistle Song and The Real Thing, you instantly know quality is here. The Real Thing is personally one of my all time favourite club tracks for its lovely rhythm and great vocals, while Blue reminds us of that classic organ sound that made up the begining for trance of the early 90's.
The 2nd disc is well put together with a soul theme, and quite a varied affair. In its own way, its better than the first disc in that the songs stand out more. Greater Love, Heaven and Outstanding ... Read More:

Now, we've all seen the variety of dodgy old school compilations on the market at the minute. Absolute this, old school that, well forget them, because this is different for three main reasons: 1. Most of the choons are from 89-91, whereas a lot of the old school compilations are from a later period,
2. it's not old school hardcore, it's just old school piano dance music - hey, I love old hardcore, but not the cheesy overplayed stuff that is appearing on album after album,
3. IT'S ACTUALLY WORTH BUYING.

From classics like "Is there anybody out there" by the Bassheads to Liquid's Sweet Harmony, to Two fat guitars by Direckt, these choons are uplifting, cheese-free, and classics for house-heads and ravers alike.
