I loved William's first album so much I had no hesitation in buying this album as soon as it was available.... and I was not disappointed.
This is another beautiful album from a young man who has so much talent. There is a lovely balance of emotional, classical and relaxing tracks as well as some more upbeat tracks. It makes it even more special when you know that he has written a lot of the material himself.
Definitely an artist to follow.
If you loved "Within" then get this album too .... you will not be disappointed.

A nice collection of songs heavily relied on instrumental music. Koz plays large part of the songs on the album. Koz's music is sexy and smooth. It's perfect as a background music for a nice evening romantic dinner. There is a beautiful rendition of The Way We Were by Vanessa Williams. She has incredibly soft, silky voice which is so effortlessly beautiful when she sings Babs's songs. I think Koz's instrument and arrangment of The Way We Were is so lush and romantic. Other nice tracks from Barry Manilow, Donna Summer and Chris Botti and Peter White's lovely version of It Might Be You. But Koz's and Anita Baker's version of Somewhere is such a huge disappointment. She sounds awful. Koz should have featured someone else (Jon Secada sing Somewhere ... Read More:

I was really looking forward to this, sadly it's just alright. There are some gems in there but it lacks the originality of the first. I suppose its the same as most sequels, just more of the same 95% of the time. I'd give it 3.5 stars but no half marks allowed!

Why only 3 stars for an album that most listeners will doubtlessly like and like a lot?
Well, let me say first that I would have liked to give 3,5 - but that's impossible. Even though 3,5 should be rounded up to make 4 rather than down to 3, I would like to contrast the euphoric reviews on this page with some critical comments.
This is an enjoyable album, no doubt. But then, enjoyable piano trio albums on ECM (and CAMJAZZ)are a dime a dozen, as they say. And while I love the trio's work with (and that means under the guidance of) Tomasz Stanko, they strike me as not yet come of (musical) age, without him.
I find myself thinking of other trios, while I am listening to these guys. At times Bill Evans comes to mind, then it's Brad Mehldau. ... Read More:

Walk on water! Certainly not for me (despite the cover!)
Mr Vesey is spot on. The lad is indeed nasal, thin, and sadly mediocre. It's my own fault. I bought this - having read the reviews - and despite my reservations about, shall we say, the vaguest whiff of choreography!
Hence the one star! I'll know better next time!
