Please allow me a moment of heresy: having been a fan of Matthew Sweet's since Girlfriend came out in 1991, I honestly think that with 'Under The Covers' he's made his masterpiece.

This is not just another covers album. Sweet and Hoffs have chosen their material with a connoisseur's ear, and their vocals and Sweet's magnificent arrangements somehow manage to stay loyal and true to the core of the songs while bringing something new and original to them at the same time. It's almost as though these are the recordings the original writers would have wanted to have made in the 1960s if they'd had sufficient skill, taste and studio facilities. Having been a fan of Neil Youngs for donkeys years, I can still play a number of his albums and still feel the power from his vocal talents that have seen him go from decade to decade with the thrill and excitement that only a true musician can offer.

The decade album offers some very good tracks for an insite to young for those whom have yet to really listen to what he can offer. Old Man is basically my favourite Neil young song ever and that alone for me sets the standard of a true gifted master at work.

Any neil young album for me is essential to a music collection, and this one paves the way for those who are looking to grasp a section of what Neil has to offer.

The Best of Type O Negative: Parental Advisory

Five stars for music. The music on this CD is faultless from beginning to end. That said, Type O Negative are not the kind of band you want a best of album from. If you want to test the water before jumping in, any of their full-length LPs will do. There's too much gold left off this rubbish compilation, which was issued once the band had left the label and therefore without approval or input. Buy the band's entire catalogue minus this, because its totally pointless.

1970's-prince was just starting out (he wasn't very good)

1980's-prince was arguably at hist best when he had tons of U.S #1 hits! and made some of the best albums ever. he could also play over 30 instruments.

1990's-awesome! not quite as good as eighties but his songwriting skills had now fully blossomed but from 1996 onwards prince really started going down hill with crappy albums like "emancipation"

2000's-back to his old self! prince made a come back with his new album called "musicology" and this single "cinnamon girl"
the single has been verypopular in the uk and is getting lots of radio airplay. BUY IT! its awsome, and so is the b side called "the united states of division"
