The title of this album says it all. This is such a great collection of songs I don't know where to start. If you're new to Marley then you can't do better than this album, and if you're already a fan then this a great collection of his stuff in one place. Worth it for 'No woman no cry' alone! Brilliant summer music, or any time of the year it's that good!

From the opening track to the closing, this is one of the greats. This album is filled from beginning to end with spirit, wisdom and very real human messages. Marley teaches and attempts not to preach, in the spirit of a true Rastafarian he will lead by example. Mostly he sings about ourselves and our relationship to others, and in the masterpiece "Could You Be Loved", he asks us whether we deserve to be loved by ourselves or others. All of these songs are to quote the last track "Songs of Freedom", and he requests you to join in the singing to inspire and enlift your mind. Do yourself a favour, join him.

Uprising/Kaya/Catch a Fire

To me "Kaya" is the slightly better album for songs like "Is This Love" and "Time Will Tell" but all the albums are consistantly brilliant. "Catch A Fire" has one of my favourite Bob Marley songs ever on, "Concrete Jungle", as well as the fantastic "Stir It Up". Uprising has some amazing songs of freedom on such as "Zion Trian" and "Redemption Song". Everyone should have these their record collections because they are the three best CD's by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

"Catch A Fire" has one of my favourite Bob Marley songs ever on, "Concrete Jungle", as well as the fantastic "Stir It Up". Uprising has some amazing songs of freedom on such as "Zion Trian" and "Redemption Song".
