Sorry, but I just had to write a review for this one. I’m so incensed by the title ‘Ultimate Hard House Collection – Hard House Classics’. I don't know how this can claim to be the ultimate hard house classics album!? It has at most about four tunes on it that any hard house fan would consider 'classic'. The rest is a mish-mash of average commercial house and trance. If you are looking for genuine hard house classics, then look for any of the 'Trade' albums on Feverpitch or Trade Records. Especially 'Trade vol 1' and 'vol 3' by Tony de Vit. Reactivate vol 9 & 10 on React Records and Tidy Trax & Tripoli Trax compilations. Also anything on Tinrib Records. These ... Read More:

Like the below reviews, when I first got this CD I was disapointed. Anthems Of Trance suggests a good couple of hours of hard basslines, euphoric basslines and quality mixing. So when the CD belted out some dancey classics that verged on the edge of trance I was a little disapointed.
However, when listening to this CD you will find so many forgotten songs that you will have grown up with if you were a 90's/ early 00's teen.
Classic anthems such as Rank 1 - Airwave, Firewire and The Theme by Jurgen Vries, ensure this CD is a short education on the recent history of the mainstream side of progressive electronic music.

101 songs for £price? That sounds like a pretty good deal I thought - turns out that all but a few are absolutely fantastic! I've gotta say i'm useless at remembering names of songs - especially dance music - which is why I often find it hard to decide what CDs to buy and quite often decide not to buy anything at all! But this CD was worth the risk - its absolutely fantastic - whether you prefer trance classics, trance or house anthems or club anthems you really can't go wrong - because each CD is fantastic - absolutely amazing - buy it now and sit by the letter box until it arrives!

Wow! what an album. Every song takes you to the summer and comprises of tunes that you could chill and dance to. The clever set up of the cd's means you can just relax and let the sun beam down on you with cd1, with some excellent classics - from the one hit wonder The Real Thing, which excellently blends into the hit Rapture. And with a more funky twist, Renegade Master and Ge Get Down really do the job.
Cd has brigns up the tempo with more classic rhythms, from the brilliant Southern Sun, to the original mix of 9pm which is good to hear again. Its my turn is another quality summer tune, and its all so good from then on, with the amazing Opera Song near the end.
Cd3 has more or a trance theme, and is therefore a little more commerical, but ... Read More:

Yet another installment in MoS' quite frankly offensive series of 'The Annual'. To be brutally honest I don't know where to begin the slating. 61 of the most vapid "now!" kiddie-bop-along-heard-it-all-before tracks you could ever come across. If you own a radio or have ever had the joy of listening to one you will have heard about 97% of the songs on this album. As a snapshot of 2004 it is lacklustre. As a bona-fied MoS compilation it is simply dire. They havent learned from the same mistakes they have been making since 2002. Yawn.
