I have just got this, and its brilliant. So many old favourites. Only one bad track, robson and jerome. But thats just one out of 39. There is usually more than 1 bad track on a compilation. So many songs that I havent heard for a while. Boy meets girl- waiting for a star to fall, that was a good track,theres loads of good tracks to mention, im so glad I got it

And I must say Amazon delivered quicker than I thought, it arrived on valentines day. I ordered it a bit late to give to my husband on valentines day(I thought) But it arrived, and we both enjoyed this album on the day, Thank you Amazon.

I can't believe the reviewer (Debbie) who says she didn't know most of these tracks! If she was there in the 1980s, she must have had ear plugs in and a paper bag over her head! This album is a great compilation at a bargain price - fantastic for listening to in the car, or quizzing your mates (who was that?), or demonstrating your vast knowledge of 1980s pop trivia. For the discerning listener, this series of albums prompts wider research into some of these artists - the excellent Blancmange, for example, and whatever happened to Kon Kan?
At less than £1 per disc, this is amazing value. For those who weren't there it provides a pretty good overview of what was happening in that decade.

This is pretty poor - many of the tracks here are not extended or long versions, but just the standard versions included to pad the thing out to 3 CDs (eg Karma Chameleon, Wishful Thinking, Vienna, Good Heart). Some other tracks are okay, but widely available on other compilations. The CD physical quality is poor too (mine skipped on arrival), which gives the whole thing an air of 'cheap cash in'. Try instead the 12"/80s Pop 3CD set.
