Both these artists feature on this release, since it is the last album before Valor took over the band completely. I find Rozz's vocals strained and monotonous, and the production sounds too smooth, dated, very 'eighties'. Fortunately for Valor fans like myself, with every release since, Christian Death has become harder, heavier - less 'eighties' goth and edgier, darker metal. This is not the album to go for if you are wondering what this band is all about... only if you want to know what it WAS like. In my opinion, any budding Christian Death listener should first acquire Valor's "Sexy Death God" and compare ... Read More: |
