At the time I was simply blown away with the sheer energy and passion the music created. There was also a terrific dress code to accompany this new style. Two-Tone was born. Its now a household name for those years, but meekly began as a low budget record label by Jerry Dammers ( keyboard player with The Specials). Many of the songs were in fact covers of earlier "reggae/ska/rocksteady" tunes from the 60s and early 70s.
