I would very much agree with A Customer's extremely informative comments, concerning this item. Mine was similarly a bafflingly inexpensive copy, so i don't mind keeping it as another box-set "trophy". However, this is hardly a thorough retrospective of Tangerine Dream's Virgin recordings.
The upside is that it's a very attractive package. The overwhelming downside is that the set draws very little from the truly key TD albums from the Virgin era. A +/- five-minute extract from the title track plus "Mysterious Semblance......" from "Phaedra". The excellent "Rubycon" fares a little better, with the two extracts representing about half the album. (Bizarrely, my copy of this box-set features the same "Rubycon part 2" extract twice.) ... Kraftwerk's melodies and rhythms remain classics, whether covered as Latin dance music, a string quartet, Croatian rock bands, or, as here, a bunch of people programming 1980s games hardware.
The arrangements of nearly all of these tracks sound great. The problems start when they try to sing. Where they should have reached for their Speak and Spell hardware or other digitised voices, they tend to demonstrate why few programmers can make it as vocalists.
Listen to these first before deciding to splash the cash.

What a great album! Don't usally go for anything that has "emo" in the product description but this is something else. The deluxe album comes with a second cd full of b-sides, live recordings and acoustic versions. It's quite simple really, listen to the original album then kiss it goodbye and put the second on. Acoustic versions of "The Middle" and "If You Don't, Don't" which are better that the originals and a gem of a b side in "Firestarter" (yes the Prodigy song). Also contains live recordings of "Bleed American" and "A Praise Chorus". This album reminds me of Bloc Party's poppier stuff (Modern Love and Helicopters) and Dashboard Confessional's "A Mark..." album. And yes I know JEW's album was out first but still that's what it reminds me ... Read More:
