Selected Sides 1947-1953: the Very Best of BluegrassSearch: Flint Hill Special by: Flatt & Scruggs Release Date February 02, 2004 within this collection of four cds you get two by the stanley brothers and two by flatt and scruggs.these feature 94 sides,songs,or the equivalent of 47 78rpm records.you would be hard pressed to find these records today and in this sort of sound quality. looking at the titles you may recognise foggy mountain breakdown and man of constant sorrow.if you have seen the coen brothers oh brother movie you will love this collection. these recordings were created by two guys with guitars,one mike and very primitive recording equipment but the hissing albeit very faint will draw you in. if you like these try another jsp set ,i now have nine.or look for properboxes,i have 12 of these. much better than most music made today |
