To th uninitiated it look like the list of entrants for a race meeting but with a fact packed fold out booklet the secrets are revealed.
Such as the fact that the crazily named Boeing Duval & the Beautiful Soup mask one Sam Hutt the so called "rock'n'roll doctor" who later found a career as Hank Wangford the country music parodist.
The Left Banke track is a later one made by an ex member

As much as I love this band and this album, Fantasy have been truly mean when it comes to extras. Even with the 3 additional tracks, the album still only weighs in at 43 minutes. There's clearly more material in the vaults, leaving this a missed opportunity.

The Best Of Creedence Clearwater Revival

Having previously mislaid my copies of Chronicles 1 & 2, spotted this today and thought it would be an ideal replacement.

On the plus side, the tracks have been remastered since the above compilations were released and they have never sounded better,
taking 18 of the 20 tracks from Volume 1 (ignoring "Commotion" and "Someday Never Knows"), and 6 of the best from Volume 2.

Great to have this huge 24 track selection on one disc, but in order to squeeze them all on, the 11 minute guitar workout on "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"
has been sacrificed, and replaced instead with a 4 minute edit. (Still have the original on mp3 anyway!)

I may have a dodgy pressing but having already exchanged ... Read More:
