This album is great. L7 are great. Jack off jill, one of my favourite bands, introduced me to L7. I read somewhere that they were described as a cross between babes in toyland and L7. The name intrigued me. So I listened. And I enjoyed.

Hungry for Stink is one of their best albums, featuring great vocals and guitar riffs that make you feel like you're watching them in an indie club.

What's even better about this version is that it's on vinyl. If you like L7 but don't have a record player, buy one. If you have a record player but haven't heard L7 , BUY THIS!

The Best of L7: the Slash Years

This is a "have to buy it" cd...L7 have so many good musics - i like all of them - that it must have been very hard to select which ones to include or not... It has musics from "Bricks are heavy", "Hungry for Stink" (both still with Jennifer Finch on the bass) and "The Beauty Process"... The only thing that misses here is that "L7", "Smell the magic" and "Slap Happy" also have good musics to include in a Best of L7 but due to label changes i think that wasn't possible to make...perhaps someday it will! As they say inside: play it real loud and hope your ears bleed...

The agressive onslaught of his album takes some getting used to, but once you let the menacing guitars grab hold of your soul, you're hooked. The slithering, snaking guitar on Riding With A Movie Star is brilliant, as is the heavy industrial grind of Talk Box. Can I Run is a rant about the fear of assault in Los Angeles and Andres is a perfect slab of punk pop. Shirley, the tribute to drag racer Shirley Muldowny has interesting samples built into the mix. Other great tracks include Stuck In Here and Question My Sanity. Hungry For Stink is rude, rowdy and aggressive, a prime example of early 9os post-punk hard rock.

I really loved their album "Bricks Are Heavy"...and this was a great following for that. They sound is very heavy...and the songs like the opening track and "Fuel My Fire" prove that they were the female metal band of that time. They were cool! This album is very cool!
