Alison Brown and her band recently appeared at Fairport Convention's Cropredy festival and boy did she win over some new friends!

Fairport have always had a reputation for getting some really good bands to play at Cropredy but even among such quality musicians Alison's band really stood out. My CD collection stretches towards the 450 mark but I can honestly say I haven't got anything else like this CD. It's a bluegrass jazz album full of joyous virtuoso playing that's sure to put you in a good mood - especially if you appreciate musical craftsmenship.

I've submitted a few reviews to Amazon over the months but have always shyed away from giving 5 stars because it's often easy for fans to overlook weaknesses in their favourite ... Read More:
