. British Light Music Classics, Vol.2Search: Girls In Grey from: Hyperion Release Date March 03, 1997 This is even better than its predecessor. There's more confidence in the playing and the programme is especially well chosen, with its emphasis on I-never-knew-it-was-called-that tunes. Fans of the Archers will be pleased to hear its signature tune in its entirety. The whole programme is top-drawer but unexpectedly my special favourite is Finck's In the Shadows--I'd heard it before but this time the tune really got into my blood. Good to see this series continuing. |
