If you want the best introduction to cafe del mar music - don't buy this! Instead buy Cafe Del Mar DREAMS volumes 2 & 3. I guarantee they will get you hooked! Volume 3 is nearly all superb tracks including OASIS by GAIA Project and Have a Smoke by DAB. Volume 2 has the stunning Castillos De Area by Deep&Wide and Stay asleep among many others. Jose Padilla may have started it all but Bruno makes much better selections!

This cd was one of my best buys of the year. As I am a friend of Modern Jazz I found my self a lot of times buying cds that were too "Heavy" for me, where, this cd is very "User frindly" to anyones ears. Remixes of Great funky originals like(Cajun Moon - Randy crawford, Sunshine of your Love - Nuyorican Soul feat. Jocelyn Brown)are just wicked. On top of that you have a great chill tune like Courtney Pines Dont X' plain that can you can go along with them and just enjoy the smooth sax and vocals.

On Cd 2, a bit more "quiet", but still funk is in the air with St. Germain - Deep In it, (Great Piano). Also great vocals by Nelly Furtado who teams up with Asha Bhonsie on yet another remix of "Im like a bird"
