This is a real feel-good compilation. I'm a Fatboy fan which is how I came across this album and Disc 1 which is mixed my Fatboy Slim in his Mighty Dub Katz persona has some great stuff on it and all from the Southern Fried record label. Disc 2 was a real surprise to me as I didn't know Cagedbaby but again it's great - I've looked into more Southern Fried releases because of this album and bought Armand Van Helden's most recent as a result and that didn't disappoint either.
Put it this way, I was traveling with some friends in a convertible in July/August last summer and got stuck in a traffic jam for hours but we had this album playing loud and it was a party in a car. Buy it to make you happy!

I can't believe nobody has reviewed this, perhaps people are trying to keep it to themselves! Its a well crafted double mix cd full of deep tech house. One of the best mixes of 2007...If you liked Tiefschwarz Fabric29 you will LOVE this...

This has to be the worst Served Chilled in the series. The first two were amazing and the third was pretty good, but this is just horrible. There are some really bad tracks on this compilation, that upset the whole flow. This Is Not A Love Song by Nouvelle Vague for example. That song alone made me hate the whole cd.
I've never heard a chillout cd that annoyed me, but this one did! Stick with the first three and forget this album ever came out!

OK - not quite as strong as the 2004 and 2005 Summer Samplers, this mix still has some pretty banging tracks. Standouts are Speechless, a groovy jazzy offering from Mish Mash, and Say You Will, a thumping, "Sweet Dreams" sampling floor-filler from Green Velvet.
This has inspired me to load up the rest of the Hed Kandi stuff onto the iPhonePod thing for Summer ...
Release Date July 12, 2005
This is quite simply brilliant! Padilla is as great as ever, combining diverse styles in his trademark fashion. This is the perfect summer evening chill, and will be to the summer of 2005 what Thievery Corporations 'The Outernational Sounds' was to 2004.

The long awaited 3 episode of the Therapy Sessions saga has finally arrived. Sadly enough, like most Hollywood 3rd movies, it does not live up to the first two. So far in this series, Dave Seaman's mix could always be counted on to deliver. Not the case on this one though where it is surpassed by disc 1, the Lexicon Avenue mix. Disc 1 is a solid enough mix, but never really manages to take off. It gets even worse with Dave on disc 2. I'm a big fan of his, but this is, to put it mildly, lame and tame (with a very few exceptions). Maybe I haven't listened to it enough, or maybe I'm just not seeing the big picture. Check out Dave's latest installment for Renaissance Masters series instead. 3 stars for Lexicon A. and 2 for Dave.
