One of the more rounded collection of Caballe's works, this double CD set includes the touching and poignant Paraules d'amour, and the touchstone of all operatic arias, Casta Diva. Her signing is faultless, the recording good. Even the Andrew Void-Webber "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" sounds substantial when covered by Montse. But the CD booklet is deficient. No details at all.

I discovered this music by accident on YouTube. I had never heard of the group but one song in particular caught my ear-Hijo de la luna - it is haunting and beautiful. I just had to listen to the rest! What you have here is a little gem. Each track is different and even if you don't understand spanish (like me), the music is an absolute delight to listen to. Must go, about to start taking spanish lessons. Well worth listening to!

Fans of Sarah Brightman have expressed mixed opinions on this `Best Of' release.

Being labeled as a `crossover' artist I think can be a burden, for there are times when he/she will perform opera and classical music but get criticized by the `classical buffs' for trying to step on the toes of their treasured elitist professional musicians of the classical world.

Then there is the criticism from fans of `popular music', who see their idol apparently deserting their pop roots and alienating themselves by joining the orchestral high society club.

So when pop meets classical is there always friction?

Celtic Goddess

This is a marvelous CD - Anne Buckley has an angelic voice which ranks with the best soprano voices I've heard. One could characterize her as an Irish Sarah Brightman - in fact, some of Anne's songs on her debut CD have been sung by Sarah Brightman. The selection of songs on "Celtic Godess" is a delightful mix of classical, Irish folk, and contemporary songs - ranging from "Hijo De La Luna" to "You'll Never Walk Alone" to "Danny Boy".

Although it has been a long wait to finally hear Anne's solo CD, it is not disappointing at all. I strongly recommend this CD.

We miss some of their first greatest hits, but this is a great compilation of their best. Great music (Nacho and Jose Cano), production, great vocalist (Ana Torroja), everything great. Excellent spanish music with marvelous quality, best of the best in Spanish pop music!
