The unimaginitive title is the only bad thing about this excellent 3cd compilation. Nascente are reliable compilers and can be relied on to deliver...and at a very modest price.
The greatest treasures are to be found on the earlier two cds...track after track sparkles as originally recorded thanks to the sensitive mastering and we hear whence the sixties and seventies classic artists found inspiration.
But the originals in general sound fresher now than the sixties and seventies versions.

I picked up this album a few days ago after hearing good things about them and i wasn't disappointed. A mix of country, psychadelia, krautrock, blues, folk, everything is thrown into the mix to make what may sound like a mess but is really rather good.

A new album by Faun Fables is always a terrifying proposition, but their latest release is a disturbing prospect even by Dawn McCarthy's consortium's standards.

The Transit Rider began as a theatrical production based around the theme of the New York City subway. Faun Fables leader, Dawn `The Faun' McCarthy, had been introduced to the NYC subway in 1994 and, in 2002, scripted a production based on its repetitious and breathless nature. The show has been (pardon the pun) an underground triumph.
