To be honest i think MOS should put me on their board...what are you doing fellas? your no good with even numbers...the last album was amazing..8 wasn't all that either,as the last 2 reviewers put a bit darker,although they praised the album(think they are on the payroll)it is dark ,very dark!,i'm a massive Hed Kandi Fan but i do avoid twisted disco,not my kind of music,this is alot like those compilations,i was very dissapointed when i 1st put this in my car for a long drive home,the 2nd CD was out the case within 5 minutes,sorry guys,best thing about it is the picture of the girl on the front.

OK - not quite as strong as the 2004 and 2005 Summer Samplers, this mix still has some pretty banging tracks. Standouts are Speechless, a groovy jazzy offering from Mish Mash, and Say You Will, a thumping, "Sweet Dreams" sampling floor-filler from Green Velvet.

This has inspired me to load up the rest of the Hed Kandi stuff onto the iPhonePod thing for Summer ...

Mark Doyle says he loves these songs, so you think you get a lot of quality. But I could only found 10 tracks out of the first 2 cd's which are really good tracks. Examples are Bobby D'Ambrosio, Martin Solveig, Georgie Porgie, FAC 15, Danny Howells & Soul Central. But 10 good songs out of 33 isn't good enough. I agree with another reviewer that cd 3 is just Twisted Disco. I don't like that and I don't believe Mark saying that he also loves the music on this cd. If he would have sticked by the first 2 cd's I would have given it 3 stars, now for the whole set it's really not good enough. A pitty!

Forget about the first Housexy Volume - this one is the true joint! Great stuff right here form the first to the last track. A wicked mix of party tunes that doesn't sound like any of the commercial rubbish out there. Way better than the first volume! Big up and 5 Stars for this compilation!!

I agree with the reviewer below in that some of HK's recent releases have been slightly dodgy and appear to be cashing in on the rise in popularity of funky house music. Die hard fans have been complaining for months about the acquisition of the brand from ailing and tyrannical parent MoS, but it seems that the producers of this album have been given a more free reign to take HK back to its roots.
I'm glad CD1 wasn't reprasentative of the whole album, with lots of fairly commercial "heard it all before" tracks, only saved by decent mixing, however CD2 and 3 are subliminal.
