On first hearing you may be excused for comparisons with Alanis Morisette and place her immdeiately in the Mid America, angst-rock groove, but on closer inspection it is evident that Ms. Tower delivers a canon of heart-felt creations that is uniquely her own. There is variety too, from the almost surreal 'Raw Dog' to the melancholic ballad of 'Dear Jane'. Sometimes she strays sickeningly close to over-blown sentimentality, as in the twee arrangement that accompanies the title track, but this flaw is completely forgiven in the face of such brilliance as 'Come to Me'.
