Breaking Atoms was a classic, no question. But the departure of the LargeProfessor, the main force of creativity in the trio, was a major loss.
The two DJ's Skratch and Kut replaced him with Mikey D, a renkownfreestyler on the NY cypher/battle-circuit. His voice is raspy, hardcoreNew York, but he's no Extra-P. His story-telling on "Diary Of A Hit Man"is a high point, and he shines on the updated version of Just Hangin' Out"Only The Real Survive". He sounds most comfortable on the Posse cut "SetIt Off" alongside pre-LOX Jadakiss and Sheek Louch, where he can just hitus off with those freestyle-type brags.

Unlike the first reviewer, I buy vinyl because it has the edge over CD musically and for no other reason. Yes I agree the packaging is dire, but the music on the record itself is far more mature and accomplished than the first album. It leaves me feeling refreshed due to the bounce and fun of the lyrics and the bands desire to prove that music does'nt have to be serious. I rate this very highly. MUSIC is important not the sleeve.

Was waiting a while to pick this up and it was worth the wait. Fantastic listen from start to finish covering Psyche, Funk, Hip Hop and Jazz with more than a bit of skill. Stand out tracks are Age Of The Sun and Distant Star, the 12" of the latter is well worth tracking down also for the guest verses by DOOM and Percee P and cuts by J-Rocc.
