I've been a big fan of the Plumps in the past, Saturday Night Lotion was excellent (a good precursor to the current electro sound), whilst a Plump Night Out is still a classic, as is their Fabric mix and Eargasm was good too (despite a couple of duff tracks). So with that in mind I approached this album with some anticipation. Unfortunately it's a big disappointment, the Plumps have tried to change direction a bit and make it more song based. It's a commendable idea but it doesn't come off, and whilst there a couple of good tracks, "System Addict" being the best, but overall it's rather forgettable, except for some of the vocals which are a bit grating. My recommendation would be to download "System Addict" and then check out some of their ... Read More:

I have had no interest in rock music for the last 10 or so years. Mainly because todays bands are so dreadful. However, being a huge Crue fan, thought I would see what this album had to offer. This album is one of the few for which I can honestly say it needs nothing added or taken away. If someone put lyrics to the music created here it would not do the simple, elegant beauty of the tracks justice. And it is not a one sided affair filled with melancholia, or easy listening major chord progressions, this is a record which in the space of three tracks goes from the bleak sounds of 'Prelude for Time Feelers' to the simple joy of 'Radio Ballet' as brilliantly as any musician could possibly imagine.

If you ever need to just stop, chill out, and relax from whatever you are doing there is no album better. You are garaunteed a smile by the end of track 1.

This is effortlessly fantastic.
