Three baritone guitars and a set of drums. Viva Death. For this he recruited his brother and Face To Face bassist Scott, Face To Face's vocalist/guitarist Trever Keith, and drummer-for-everyone Josh Freese. When Keith bellows the opening lines "honour, duty, loyalty and vigilance/god and country, wisdom and benevolence" over the dark backing riff of 'Fundamentalist' you get the idea this isn't going to be Foo Fighters Mk.II. This is far darker, angry and nasty than anything else any of the members' former bands would write. RuokSearch: Intermission by: Meat Beat Manifesto Release Date October 28, 2002 always a nervous time when a favourite artist is about to release new material (for me anyway, just hope not to be disappointed). so when this was released in 02 i banged it in the cd player, sat back and waited with bated breath. dunno why really cos some people rarely, if ever let you down. so it was with this album anyway. it starts off in a deceptively quiet way ('yuri' - already i'm breathing more easily), before 'spinning around' kicks in. difficult to say how it differs from its predecessor - certainly its a bit more downbeat and to be honest one or two tracks took a while to warm up. after a couple of listens though it all becomes clear. jack is one of the best (probably THE best) exponents of beats and ...
