this album is a bit of a mix of the r'n'b sound and the exclusive robyn sound!

"keep the fires burning" is r and b aka brandy and monica! good enough! 7/10

"dont stop" is a slice of ok pop 6/10

"o baby" is a big ballad and very good! 9/10

blow my mind" sounds great..a bit debbie harry 8/10

"should've known" is on the new album a great in your face track! 9/10

"moonlight" is a good song..r'n'b robyn 7/10

"breakdown" is the first sight of the robyn of now..a great track 9/10

I thought the light had gone out when Waylon died, then I heard a JM track (Cheney's Toy) on Bob Harris Country on BBC Radio 2. The light was back on, and what a light !!!!. I did what a lot of other reviewers have done, I bought this album, then tracked down and bought all of them. I was hooked. This is the best music I have heard in many a year, I cant get enough. My wife (who does not have any interest in music) does not complain when I play JM's CD's - silent praise !!!!. I look forward to future releases and, who knows, I may even go to the next gig when he comes over here.

Against Me! Pilloried for 'selling out' even with this release by the scene kids and punk morality minority, had the last laugh with this 11 song set of superb driving genre bending music.
Better produced than the debut, i.e it doesn't sound like it was recorded in a shed, and with more succinct, concise lyrics this is a barn storming, lean record that ought find a place in any collection.
They have yet to match it since, with the so-so '...Clarity' record and stadia seeking 'New Wave' and likely never will.
This is a record within its own timeframe, from the blistering opening salvo of TSR and Cliche Guevara to the gentle finale of Cavalier Eternal, this is a seemless record in the true sense, 11 constituent parts following ... Read More:

I always liked watching the movie. However I did not realize how much the soundtrack contributed until I realized it was available. Now you not only have the feel of the movie, but the soundtrack stands on its own for setting atmosphere!

A little about the movie:
Looks like an accident has happened at the North Pole (Ice station Zebra). The U.S. with Brittan, and the soviets are rushing to the rescue. Both are hampered by a snow storm. The U.S. has sent a submarine to the rescue. However it looks like something covert is afoot. The submarine is being packed with marines and an unscrupulous acting character. What is the secret? Will the sub even make it to the pole? And if so what will they find? Why are the soviets so keen in helping?
