Incredible is the word that springs to mind when you're asked to describe this compilation. Cream Trance Anthems 2003 is 2 CD's dedicated purely to the best trance in existence anywhere from here to Pluto and beyond. Both CD's are jam packed full of the best commercial and pure trance. There's no point of picking out any notable tunes either because every tune in this compilation is worth its weight in gold. Cream Trance Anthems is one of those compilations where you find yourself listening to every track the whole way through without skipping any particular tunes. The Legends at Cream have never dissapointed when it came to trance and Trance Anthems 2003 is certainly reflective of this. I defy you not to buy this compilation!!

Looking through the last 10 years, and being focused on the summer versions of the "NOW That's What I Call Music!" series, I realized that this the best! With a perfect tracklisting on Disc One, and an almost excellent selection for the Disc Two, the volume 52 of the most successful compilation series of all time fits perfectly on my CD player. We start Disc One with the excellent No1 by Ronan Keating "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which in my opinion, is the best ballad of the year. The CD moves to a totally different sound, with the perfect sound of "Just A Little" by Liberty X, which also made No1 and is a cover. George Michael's "Freeek!" (UK No7) is a very sexy/dance track which would be better on NOW 51, but appears here as ... Read More:

Having bought this purely cos it's been produced and mixed by the Nukleuz team, I was slightly disappointed with the mixing, in particular on CD2. A lot of the tracks have been rushed in to the mix lasting no more than 2 mins just for the sake of being included on the album (which is probably due to the record company than the dj's). It also contains a few tracks which are too old such as DJ Tiesto: Suburban Train, Dirt Devils: The Drill and 4 Strings: Into the night (too bad their new one 'Diving' hasn't been included instead). On the plus side though, it contains the excellent Can U dig it by JamX&DeLeon which I've been trying to get a hold of as well as brand new mixes of Ratty: Sunrise and Cappella: U got 2 Know. Overall, the album is what it says on the cover ... Read More:

This mix CD is truly the best style of trance around. Almost every mix of each track is amazing. James Holden's "solstice" kicks off this CD followed by many great remixes of tracks such as Tiesto's remix of "We are all made of stars" and other PvD mixes.

Finally decided to write my first review, and this had to be it. The meaning of trance to me, and one of the tracks I always come back to. A wonderful, clever mix of slow and then uplifting trance, and beautiful vocals. Every time this is on the cd I always rewind back for a 2nd listen and turn the volume up. Never could understand why not on any of my trance compilations. More of the same please !

If you've been a proper trance fan for a while you will definitely admit this is a good tracklist for an album bar the odd few commercial tunes, it does cover a lot that other albums missed. However it misses the whole key point. The tracks aren't mixed, just a collection of radio edits stuck together, which really do ruin what could have been a great compilation.
