The worn cliche 'if you only buy one album this year make it this one' is quite possibly the best way of recommending this album. For me it is the album of the year. Take eleven classic heavy metal tracks, re-work them in a lounge/folk style, and you have something which just comes together and works (similar in feel to Tori Amos's 'Strange Little Girls' album - who also covered Slayer). Whether you are familiar with the original tracks or not this is an album everyone should own - it may even get people to re-appraise some of the bands covered.

Well what can i say apart from Brian May... HE ROCKS!!! I am a young rocker that owes everything in my musical library to this man. Pre Air guitar, i had no distinctive taste in music, but as soon as tie your mother down (Air guitar edit) opened, i was hooked for good. The first air guitar i have to say was my favourite out the first two (I've just ordered the third) but probably only because of the Bohemian Rhapsody. But What a range of musical magic. From the ageing might of Eric Clapton, to the Hendrix experience. Personal favourites include Thin Lizzy fronted by the black rose Phil Lynott, The Clash, possibly the best Punk band ever, and obviously the best band ever, Queen who i have seen twice fronted by Free and Bad Company rocker Paul Rodgers (Also featured). ...
